President's Letter 2012-2013 I would like to take this opportunity to Thank the homeowners for the honor of serving

as your President on The Board of Directors for the past two years. Both Boards that I have had the privilege to serve with, work

tiretessly towards making The Barrington a wonderful community in which

to live. I want to thank each Board member dedication to the Owners'. for all of their hard work and

Several achievements were accomplished this year. Daniel (ambon, one of the newest members on the Board, has introduced us to contractors and vendors with reasonable rates who do quality work (Thank you Daniel). Through these contacts and the dedication of Sandra G, we were able to recarpet all of the foyer stairways (Thank you Sandra G). All of the water heaters have been replaced (Thank you Victoria). The clubhouse is in the process of being remodeled (Thank you Sallie and Sandra J). A Barrington website (www.barringtoncondcs.weeblv.com) was created and is maintained by Sandra J (Thank you Sandra J) and recommended by Ms. Galvan (Thank you Victoria). GayLe compiles meeting information to put on the website and to display by the poot, allowing for faster communication with the Owners (Thank you Gayle). Countless other projects have been done as well, with several projects in the works, to make The Barrington a safe! peaceful place to live. We, as a Board, have strived to evaluate ways to increase our funds by cutting costs, renegotiating contracts and through the continual guidance of Victoria Galvan, owner of GNMC. Ms. Galvan and Donna (Asst. Mgr.) have also been instrumental in finding great prices and workmanship, in a variety of aspects. Through everyone's combined efforts, we are able to work towards the restoration and preservation of our homes.

One observation which I made while serving on The Board, and would like to share, is that we are all responsible for ensuring the safety of our neighbors. Please, please, please call the police (instead of notifying Board Members/Management ...this can be done later) if you see any suspicious activities. Ask unfamiliar faces who they are visiting, and PLEASEdo not give the gate codes to anyone, for this is giving strangers access to a private gated community, which was built in hopes to keep this property a safer place. My favorite perk of being on the BOD, especially as the President, is Ihave had the privilege of meeting and getting to know a lot of the wonderful people who reside here. Thank you all for everything you do, your words of thanks, the words of encouragement, deeds of kindness and most of all, joining the Board in their efforts to make this a wonderful place in which to live. Again, the honor and privilege was mine.
