Designing a Bedroom Project Directions

Think about your bedroom....are you tired of the same old look? Now is your chance to design your dream bedroom. Your role is lead design engineer on this project. You will be given a budget of $3000, so think about what furniture you will keep and what you will add to the room. For this project, you will be creating a floor plan showing the layout of your new bedroom design and the amount of money you spend. Finally, this floor plan will be used to create a 3-D model of your dream bedroom.

Vocabulary terms you need to know:

Your bedroom must have: a bed a place to store your clothes (i.e. dresser) existing windows, doors and closets Additional Options (Be Creative!): computer area gaming area kitchenette pet-related items: fish tank, dog house, etc. You also need to include: the area and perimeter of your room the area and perimeter of the items in your room labels for each item in your room a list of items you are adding and their prices a total cost of these items (you must stay within your budget) Helpful hints:
