SACRAMENTOAssemblymember Luis Alejo (D-Salinas) and other distinguished guests will hold a press conference to launch an effort to pass Assembly Bill 900 (Alejo), which reverses retroactive Medi-Cal cuts for hospital-based skilled nursing services. The reductions, based on 2008-09 funding levels, represent an effective 25 percent or more cuts to services that are already in short supply, and could result in hospital closures and job losses, displacing patients and their families.
