Research film genres. Identify the options for film genre and storylines. Make a decision on which one to follow. Create a questionnaire in order to gather primary data about people's film preferences, habits and thoughts. Consider locations and actors. Film Director Project - Choose a director to focus on. Research the influences and trademarks of this director. Theorists views on plots will help me begin writing mine. Specific genre research will identify and codes and conventions to follow. Background plot research and statistical evidence. This research will help me develop my own plot. Look at audience theories. Analyse data from questionnaire. Create a Film Pitch, include fact files on similar films to establish the production company, budget, ratings and target audience. Using this, decide possible production companies, budget and target audience. Analyse film trailers. Storyboarding. Styling for the characters costumes, hair and make-up. Begin filming Continue filming Consider sound/music Attempt to create a song using Garage Band Analyse film posters and magazine covers. Identify corporate identity of films Plan film poster and magazine cover, looking at fonts and conventions Begin the creation of film poster edit the photos Continue with the poster following conventions discovered after analysis of existing posters Ask a focus group opinions on poster and adapt the poster Editing focus and begin editing Continue editing Get feedback and change anything needed.
