Aim: The aim of this experiment is to find out which color of metal absorbs more heat, Silver or black

Hypothesis: Different colored cars absorb different amount of heat, depending on the color of them. If it is a dark color, it will absorb more heat than the light one. Variables:

Independent: color of the can (black and silver) Dependent: Temperature Controlled: time, material of the can, same sized can, same amount of water
Materials: 1 black can 1 silver can Two Thermometers Two Stopwatches Two people counting the temperature and time of each can. Method:

Put 200ml of water into each can Record the initial temperature (it should be the same) Put the 2 cans in direct sunlight. Keep the thermometer in the water. Record the temperature using the thermometer every 2 minutes for a total of 30 minutes.
