Dick Hoyt had a son Rick who was diagnosed as paralyzed. Rick heard about a charity run for paralyzed athletes and told his father. Dick decided to run with Rick in the Ironman Triathlon. They successfully completed the race together. In addition to the triathlon, Rick completed high school and college. Richard Holcomb, who is legally blind ran the triathlon. He did not complete it last year, however this year, he is determined to complete it or be carried from the race. When? What? The 25th Ironman Triathlon is a triathlon where athletes with disabilities are able to join and complete. A triathlon is an event where athletes run, swim and cycle, but not necessarily in the particular order. Dick Hoyt pushed his sons wheelchair during the running portion, pulled a small boat carrying his son during the swimming portion, and transported him, by placing his son in a basket at the front of the bike, during the cycling portion of the race. Where?
