Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. Purchases K9 Ballistic Vests for Baltimore Police
BALTIMORE, MD / April 18, 2013 - Three of the Baltimore Police Department Police Dogs will be receiving bullet resistant vests thanks to a nationwide animal related GROUPON EVENT that ran March 13 through March 20, 2013. Vested Interest in K9s, Inc., was the non-profit organization chosen by Groupon Grassroots to raise the money used to purchase the bullet resistant vests. The online $10 donation allowed donors to purchase a groupon. This tax deductible donation raised funds that were used to purchase ballistic vests for our four-legged crime fighters. These highly trained K9s put their life on the line every day to do their job and will now be protected. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of Vested Interest in K9s, 163 vests were able to be purchased for K9 Units across the country. The Baltimore Police Department was fortunate enough to receive three and is thankful for the donation.
