SURE START STUDENT ASSESSMENT & PROGRAM EVALUATION TIMELINE

Aug./Sept. Oct. Nov.


Prepare for parent conference using GOLDs Development and Learning Report for parental input.

Jan.
Winter Progress Checkpoints completed for all students NLT 27 January. Update each childs Plan using GOLDs Development and Learning Report from GOLD.

Mar./Apr.
Update the childrens progress using Spring Checkpoints NLT 14 April. Review childs Plan using GOLDs Development and Learning Report. .

May/June
Summer Progress Checkpoints completed for all students NLT 9th of June.

Conduct beginning of year home visit (conducted before school begins). NLT 30 Sept. Enter students into the GOLD system. Begin assessing children with general documentation, on the spot observations and/or Assessment Opportunity Cards from Teaching Strategies GOLD. Enter preliminary Checkpoints for all students NLT 6 November. Finalized checkpoints
optional.

Update each childs Plan using GOLDs Development and Learning Report. Generate a Individual Child Report from GOLD Conduct final home visit or an in-school conference & share Development and Learning Report from GOLD.

Complete health screenings by November 13 (within 45 days of start-up).

Conduct in-school conference to set individual student goals with families.

Conduct second home visit or a school conference & update the Family Conference form. Conduct midyear review of Program Progress Plan to check for progress on program improvements.

Complete educational screenings, ESI-R by November 13 (within 45 days of start-up).

Complete program evaluation using The Assessment Profile Preschool Version (Abbott-Shim & Sibley) by 31 October. Complete the Program Improvement Plan based on the results.

Develop a Program Progress Plan by 15 November and share with principal.

Print each childs Development and Learning Report from GOLD to share with the following years teacher & file in Cumulative Folder (901 File) in main office. Conduct end-ofyear review of Program Improvement Plan to reflect and make changes to improve the program. Annual Summary Report due 11 June to District POC. 13 June 2013 Area Offices run data extraction.
