YES Inc: MISSION & Global APPROACH Yes Inc. is a global non-profit dedicated to fighting poverty through large-scale job creation and entrepreneurship for youth. Headquartered in Cambridge, MA, YES Inc. supports fiftysix country networks across the globe. With support from YES Headquarters, these country networks work independently to create unique programs that build an entrepreneurial culture where young people move toward formal employment. Collectively, the global YES Network strives to build the individual capacity of youth, empowering them to create sustainable livelihoods in their communities. YES: Vision & Objectives YES pursues a vision in which all young people have access to education, skills development, business development services, markets, mentors and credit. To fulfill this vision, YES works to achieve these top three objectives: 1. To hold the issue of youth unemployment firmly on the global agenda. 2. To build the knowledge base of effective programs and policies for youth employment and entrepreneurship and help country partners with adaptive replication. 3. To support partners and YES Country Networks to work together to understand the country poverty eradication strategies and to identify, design and implement specific training and development programs that promote youth employment and entrepreneurship.

YOUTH ENTERPRISE GENERATOR

The Generator will offer programs that ignite the imagination of Malian youth to create opportunities for young people to dream and be artists of their destiny. Mali has a large youth population and the government has made youth employment its priority. But we cannot expect the Mali government to solve the problem of youth unemployment alone and need to work together to build their capacity as well as the capacity of various other actors in Mali to tackle this issue effectively. The challenge: There are not enough jobs being created by public and private organizations to absorb Mali youth in productive work. It is essential to have a dedicated creative team focused on youth entrepreneurship, building an entrepreneurial culture and piloting innovative initiatives to build capacity of local institutions... This project have been officially launched during the YES MALI SUMMIT ON YOUTH ENTREPRENEURSHIP held in Bamako on March 2012

ON THE PATH OF AMAZING ENTERPRENEURS

In Mali there is a problem of youth employment. The phenomenon is real for graduates like many other young people who have been victims of early school leaving. This is evident both in urban and rural areas and affects both men and women. The exacerbation of the growing employment crisis that has resulted has promoted the degeneration of human development indices and a deterioration of living conditions. So many young people resort to random migration, especially to the west. The Government has initiated the implementation of policies that support youth employment through various mechanisms (including the Youth Employment Program and the National Program for Promotion of Youth). The strategic objective is to develop in youth the spirit of initiative in a dynamic entrepreneurial. The Funding mechanisms of promising projects have been negotiated by the Government with technical and financial partners: mainly with the Danish Cooperation, through the Support Program for the Promotion of Employment in the Private Sector (PAPESPRIM). Significant contribution to economic growth, reducing poverty and promoting employment with a particular focus on the needs of women and youth is an objective of development recorded in the B component of PAPESPRIM. Despite all the problems of unemployment remains recurrent, hence the need for more innovative initiatives from the private sector. YES Inc. is an international organization that aims to encourage young people's spirit of entrepreneurship through a strategic approach that emphasizes solving the employment crisis in the young person even in a context of sustainable development. Also, YES Country Networks are endeavoring to encourage entrepreneurial initiatives of young people (men and women). In this dynamic, YES MALI makes a move based on the identification, disclosure, monitoring / support of young innovative entrepreneurs (Phase I) in view of the multiplication of their models with the young men and women, through a very innovative outreach strategy which will be phase II of this project. The aim is to discover the success stories, to make models, to make known, to support these

amazing entrepreneurs, to minimize the risks associated with their difficulties, and finally give a d other young people a taste of entrepreneurship through these models of success .
