Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Praise the writer for extending the presence of Allah

SWT who has given guidance and strength to the writer, so that the writer can complete the

report of Field Work Practice with the title "AN ENTREPRENEURSHIP REPORT AT

CIRTAP". Do not forget the blessings and greetings still poured to the Prophet Muhammad

SAW. The preparation of this report is one of the Pre-Requirements for completion of

study D3 (Diploma 3) Business English Study Program -English Department at Universitas

Negeri Makassar.

CHAPTER I

INTRODUCTION

A. Background

Entrepreneurship is the process of identifying, developing and bringing a vision into

life. That vision can be innovative ideas, opportunities, and better ways of doing things.

The end result of this process is the creation of new ventures that are formed under

conditions of risk or uncertainty.

In business challenges including dealing with customers, as students we must also learn

to market a product. In this Entrepreneurship Internship, the Intern tried to make a simple

effort to gain learning to become an entrepreneur. This Entrepreneurship internship was

done in groups appointed by the Lecturer, consisting of Fitra Maqevira, Hedriana Pratiwi,

Febryan Agung Sutama.The intern conducted an entrepreneurial internship because of the

big problem that is being faced by the Indonesian people, namely the corona virus

pandemic which has resulted in large-scale social debate (PSBB).

Internship (PKL), which were previously called apprenticeships, are part of the

development of soft skills in the world of work that must be carried out by students as one

of the requirements for obtaining diploma 3 (D3) or undergraduate level (S1) levels.

Internship is carried out in a certain institution to apply student competencies in their

scientific fields. The time for internship implementation that is given is at least 30 active

working days and a maximum of 60 active working days.

The purpose of internship is to provide opportunities for students to see, pay attention

and have direct contact with the world of work and try to apply the knowledge that has

been gained on campus. With this internship, it is hoped that students will be able to find

out the needs of the world of work and make it a reference in developing their scientific

potential.

B. The Objectives of the Internship

The internship program has the following objectives:

1. Gaining experience in the world of work.

2. To make students trained to solve problems in the world of work.

3. To apply the practical skills gained in lectures to the world of internship.

4. To introduce the writer directly to the world of work real in the present.

5. To train writer so that they can apply their knowledge obtained in college into the

world of work.

C. The Significances of the Internship

1. Benefits for Students

a. With this internship activity students can practice the knowledge that has been

obtained on the bench lectures and can apply it in the world of work.

b. With this internship activity students can add knowledge and increase creativity in

the face competition in the world of work in the future.

2. Benefits for the University

a. It is hoped that this internship can provide ideas that can be used as learning guides

for Universities.

b. It is hoped that this internship can increase University cooperation.

3. Benefits for the Program Study

a. Having students who are experienced and trained in the world of work.

b. Could improve accreditation of study programs.

4. Benefits for the Company

a. There is a collaboration between the world of education and the world of industry /

company so that the company is known by academics.

b. There are constructive criticisms from students who do Internship.

c. The company will receive staff assistance from students who do practical work.

d. There are people who audit the company without paying any fees due to the

internship reports given to the company.

CHAPTER II

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF CIRTAP

A. General Description of Cirtap

1. History of Cirtap

Cirtap is the name of company from team 2 which stands for "Cireng

Mantap".The name of cirtap was formed on June 19, 2020, and is the result of

discussions from all team members 2.Cireng is food made from tapioca flour.

A brief history of cireng, namely cireng (short for aci goreng, Sundanese for

'fried tapioca flour') is a snack food originating from the Sundanese region made by

frying a dough mixture made from starch as the main ingredient.This snack is very

popular in the Priangan area, and is sold in many shapes and varieties of

flavors.This food is quite famous in the 80s.Now Cireng is not only found in

Priangan, but has spread to almost all corners of the archipelago.

Team 2 agreed to sell cireng because it was an unfamiliar type of food at the

internship location, making it easy to attract customers' attention.And also the

product is very easy to make.

2. Vision

Selling halal and delicious food, so that consumers are satisfied with the

taste and price we offer. Customer satisfaction is our priority.

3. Mission

Introducing to the public, traditional snacks are cheap but delicious. And

provide the best service to customers.

b. Creating a business Instagram and facebook account.

c. Creating pamphlets “Coming Soon”.

d. Buying ingredients.

e. Creating pamphlets for advertising.

f. Promoting product on social media.

3. Maintenance

a. Maintaining the taste of the product.

b. Maintaining relationship with customers.

c. Advertising product.

4. Development

a. Held a weekly promo.

b. Enhancing the appearance of the packaging.

5. Result

At the Sinjai branch, the intern gets a profit per week of IDR. 300,000 with an

initial capital of IDR. 200,000. So, the sales profit for 2 months is IDR. 2,573,000.At

the Maros branch, the profit per week is IDR. 150,000 with an initial capital of IDR.

75,000. So, the sales profit for 2 months is around IDR. 1,224,000. The profits of Cirtap

if added up to IDR. 3,797,000.

CHAPTER III

SPECIFIC DESCRIPTION

A. Place of Internship

Cirtap sales locations are in two places, Sinjai and Maros. The first place is located at

Jalan Persatuan Raya Number 16, Desa Botolempangan, Kecamatan Sinjai Barat,

Kabupaten Sinjai, South Sulawesi 92653. Below is a description of the map of first

location.

The second place is located at BTN Griya Tamarampu Blok E6 Number 3, Kecamatan

Mandai, Kabupaten Maros, South Sulawesi 90552. Below is a description of the map of

second location.

B. Time of Internship

The writer conducted her internship for two month. From June 18 th until August 18th

2020. The sales time for twelve hours start from 08.00 am until 08.00 pm every day.

C. Internship Procedure

1. Before Internship

On 17th June, 2020, the intern join the internship preparation which carried out

virtually through the zoom application. The intern was assigned to do a private

entrepreneurship with two other team members. Next, the intern and team members

completing all preparations before starting the entrepreneurial activities.

2. Whilst Internship

a. Observation

Before deciding to set up a food business, the intern and her team members

made a preliminary observation at their apprenticeship location to be able to find

out how much consumers interest of snacks.

b. Discussion

Every decision made by the intern is the result of discussion with the team

members and also suggestions from her parents. As in determining product prices,

and how to manage finances properly.

c. Interview

During entrepreneurial activities, the intern interviewed each customer to askfor

suggestion and criticism of the products offered. Then intern also asked for advice

from her parents how the product can be developed well.

CHAPTER IV

OUTCOMES AND BENEFITS

1. Outcomes

1. Challenges

a. Building and running a business. For the intern and her team members, building

a small business is a big challenge. Due to the lack of basic related to marketing

and how to develop a business in order to survive.

b. It was difficult for the intern to get raw materials because the market was only

open once a week during the pandemic, so that the marketing target did not

reach the target.

2. Weakness

The weakness of the product offered is the product cannot last more than three

days.

3. Strength

a. Product prices are cheap.

b. The product doesn’t use preservatives.

4. Action

Making a company logo.

The intern created the logo on 19 June 2020, made on the canva application.

Making time for 30 minutes. Below is the product logo of team 2.

2. Benefits

When the intern did an entrepreneurial PKL activity for 2 months, the intern got a lot

of useful experiences:

1. Interpersonal Communication Skills

Interpersonal skills can also be used as a medium for success. The benefits

are maintaining good relationships with team workthat have different thoughts,

speak politely to consumers and sellers of raw materials.

2. Management Skills

Building a business requires management skills. In this case, the intern is

trained to be a professional in managing time, managing financessuch as

expenses and calculating profits, production, promotion, sales, and all things.

3. Solving the problem

Certainly in a business there are problems that you will face. In this case, the

intern is taught how to facing a problem. So, the first thing that the intern and his

team did in solving the problem was discussing the solution and implementing

the solution.

4. Designing and Editing

To introduce a product, it is necessary to have a logo for the product. In this

case, The Intern learned to design a logo using the Picsart and Canva application

to show the characteristics of the product.

CONCLUSION AND SUGGESTION

A. Conclusion

In the implementation of this internship, the writer gets a lot of real knowledge in

applying the knowledge gained in college, so that it can be practiced optimally and

optimally when carrying out an internship.In addition, internships are a means for

students to get to know the real world of work as well as to get to know the

environment and working conditions that students will face after graduating from

college.

Based on the description in the Entrepreneurship Apprenticeship Report, it can be

concluded that in the world of work, patience is needed in facing challenges and

making product strengths for developing business.The benefits obtained during the

internship are Accounting and Management Skill Improvement and Communication

Improvement to customers. Improved how to manage finances, such as expenses and

calculating profits and also time management, which can control the maximum sales.

B. Suggestion

1. Students of Business English Study Program

Suggestions for students to maintain behavior and ethics when doing

internships so that they can bring the good name of The Campus and Business

English Study Program.

2. Business English Study Program.

a. The Intern hopes that the Business English Program will expand the network of

cooperation in terms of admissions for Job Training Students (PKL) with

several government and private agencies.

b. By providing PKL, Students with provisions on morale and work ethics, so that

at the time of implementing PKL they can bring the good name of the

University.

3. Universitas Negeri Makassar

This entrepreneurial activity can be applied as a form of creation students

who can enter the world of business as a real provision and lessons in itfaced a

situation where they could only rely on themselves to get betterprepared for the

world of work.

Hedriana Pratiwi, was born on July 25th 2000 in Banggae Village, Mangarabombang

District, Takalar Regency. She is the last child of five siblings,

from the marriage couple Syarifuddin and Rosbia. She is a

Muslim. Her hobbies are watching korea movie and eating

chocolate. She began her elementary school at MIN Patiro

Takalar and graduated in 2012. She continued her junior high

school at MTs Pesantren Tarbiyah Takalar and graduated in

2015. After graduating from junior high school, she continued her study again at MA

Pesantren Tarbiyah Takalar and graduated in 2018. In 2018, she was accepted as a student

at Business English Study Program, English Department the Faculty of Languages and

Literature, Universitas Negeri Makassar. She is one of members in OSIP Pesantren

Modern Tarbiyah Takalar 2017-2018 period.
