Festivals in Malaysia

Malaysia is a multiracial country. The people of Malaysia live in peace and harmony. There are Malays, Chinese, Indians, Ibans and other races living in Malaysia. The Malaysians celebrate many festivals. The main festivals are Hari Raya, Chinese New Year, Deepavali, Christmas and Hari Gawai. During each festivals, it is a practise to visit friends and relatives. They call this the open house where everyone can enjoy delicious food while chatting with each other. Malaysians always respect each other;s culture and religion. Malaysian is well-known throughout the world for this unique way of living in unity.
