input with a variety of behaviors Observation: On April 22, Anika explored bubbles. She watched as the bubbles were being blown and chased after them. When she approached the bubble she used her hands to pop them. Next Step: Build Anikas tolerance of different levels of sound and help become more comfortable when she has to be moved or when someone gets up who was sitting with her.

Core Standard: 2Physcial Stability Rating: 4Demonstrates stability, balance, and control in upright position Observation: On April 23, Anika engaged in various physical skills. She was able to walk on her own, stand from a sitting position, get back up when she fell down, and bend over to pick something up.

Core Standard: 3Gross Motor Skills Rating: 4Coordinates forward movement Observation: On April 23, Anika walked around the playground, climbed up the ramp to the sandbox, and pushed the shopping cart forward. Next Step: Help Anika learn to run, hop, skip, etc. with more coordination and stability.

Core Standard: 4Object Control Rating: 2Releases objects with control Observation: On April 23, Anika reached for and picked up a baby doll and was carrying it around pretending to take care of it. When she was finished, she released the baby doll and placed it on the ground. She did this by kneeling down, bending over, and setting it down. Next Step: Use hands to do finger plays to songs and use one hand to do something and the other hand to do something else.

Core Standard: 5Precision Hand Skills Rating: 1Grasps small objects Observation: On April 23, Anika used a small tool to manipulate play-dough. She grasped it in her hand and smashed the play-dough on the table using the tool and also banged it on the dough. Next Step: Work on grasp and hold and also engage in more precise activities to work on finger skills.
