6. WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT ABOUT TECHNOLOGIES FROM THE PROCESS OF CONSTRUCTING THIS PRODUCT?

Tumblr

Before our group started filming our opening sequence, we were told to create a blog on either Blogger or Tumblr. I started my blog first on Blogger, however I didn't understand it fully so I changed to Tumblr because I had been told that Tumblr was more detailed and easier than Blogger. I used Tumblr to document my groups ideas on what our opening sequence would be and how we would achieve that final product. To put these ideas across onto my blog I mainly used the text posts, picture posts, video posts and link/embed posts.

Text posts

The text posts were very simple and easy to use because of the similarity to how Facebook and Twitter use theirs. You have the option to add a title and this enables your post to look neat and organised. You also have the choice to make some parts of your text post bold, italic and strikethrough. You can also insert a link or unlink it, add bullet points, add an image and edit the HTML source.

Video posts

For the video posts you can insert an embed code, video URL or choose a video file from your computer.

Link posts

When you click on the link tab you are given a box to insert your chosen URL, but you are also given the option to include a title and a caption for your link.

Photo posts

For the photo posts you can upload up to 10 photos at a time from either your computer, a URL or from taking the photos then off of your webcam.
