A selection for formation of a panel for three (03) posts (UR-02 & ST-01) of APO/AWO (Gr B) against 70% vacancies is hereby notified calling for willingness from eligible Group C' staff within the jurisdiction of South East Central Railway. The date of written test will be intimated later. 2. The Group 'C' staff of the following departments fulfilling the required conditions, are eligible to appear for the selection: i) Group 'C' staff' of Personnel Department. ii) Group 'C' ministerial staff working in cadre posts in any department excluding Hindi/Rajbhasha Organization and Accounts departments but including Cash and Pay and Time Office who have no avenue for promotion to Group B in their own departments. iii) Group 'C' ministerial staff of Compilation/Statistical Branch, Stores, Transportation (Traffic), Commercial departments and Law Assistant/Chief Law Assistants and Stenographers who have avenue for promotion to Group B in their own department too. NB i) Only those employees who have completed a minimum of 03 years of non-fortuitous services in the grade ` 5500-9000/- and above (in Vth Pay commission) and in Pay scale ` 9300-34800 (PB-2) with grade pay `.4200/- & above (in VIth pay commission) put together as on 20.12.2012 are eligible to appear in the selection. ii) Eligibility of staff working in Construction Organization/Project offices/other excadre Organization/ Units will be determined with reference to their position in the parent department subject to the fulfillment of the other conditions laid down, provided their juniors in the open line also become eligib1e. 3. The staff coming in the categories mentioned in para-2 (iii) above (i.e. those who have avenue of promotion to Group B posts in their own departments and have been provided additional avenue of promotion to the post of APO/AWO (Gr B) will exercise an option for promotion within one month of the publication of the result of the selection and the option then exercised shall be treated as final. 4. Eligible and willing staff should submit their applications to their respective Personnel Branch Officers concerned viz. Dy CPO (Gaz)HQ/Sr DPOs/DPOs/APOs indicating their willingness to sit for the selection. The willingness should reach the concerned Personnel Branch Officers by 25.01.2013. The names of only the eligible staff who volunteer should be sent to Dy CPO (Gaz)/Bilaspur in a consolidated statement as per proforma given in the Annexure-A by the Staff Officer so as to reach this office by 30.01.2013 positively. Staff working on Construction/Project/Ex-cadre Organization/ Units should submit their application through their respective Personnel Branch Officers where they hold lien. Applications submitted directly to this office/section will not be entertained. Applications received after cut-off date will not be entertained.

5. Scheme of Examination: - The examination will consist of(i) Written Test (ii) Viva voce (In Railway Boards letter No.E(GP)88/2/111 dated 20/08/91 circulated under CPO/GRC Estt Sr1.No.167/91) For Written test: Subject Maximum Marks Qualifying Marks One paper on Professional subject 150 90 and Establishment and Financial Rules. NOTE :- (Out of 150 marks, the question relating to the professional subject will carry at least 100 marks. The Controlling Officers, Dy CPOs/Sr.DPOs/DPOs/APOs should ensure that the ACRs/APARs of the candidates who have volunteered for the above examination, for the last 05 years completed in all respects and updated Service Records available with them are be sent to Dy CPO(Gaz) at a short notice.
