Student Pre Post Discussion of results This student moved back to New York before the end of the

semester and was not given a post assessment. I think his higher than average pre assessment score and also be credited to the fact that he was a Ad 3 new transfer to the school. I think he came in with an art background that was slightly stronger than other students at BHS. Although this student was not confident in art, I think these lessons did help him gain new skills. This student was often from class (the last period of the day) for athletic Al 1 3 events. Although she did improve slightly on the post assessment, I think she could have gotten a lot more out of the lessons. This student was very reserved in class and I wasn't always sure I was An 0 2 getting through to her. I am glad to see she understood a couple of the big concepts i covered in the unit. This student is the only person who answered all 6 questions correctly on the post assessment. He took art very seriously and took Au 4 6 responsibility for his own growth. I think his understanding of these topics manifested in his work, as well as on this test I am surprised to see that this student got a zero on the pre assessment. He clearly had very little prior knowledge coming into the Br 0 4 unit, but he never struggled with new material. He was active in class discussions and picked up new concepts quickly. This students is learning English as a second language and while i think he understood many of the major topics, it was difficult for him to Ca 1 3 express that in writing. In lesson assessments which he had extra time on, or translated versions, he demonstrated his understanding clearly. This student came into the unit with almost no prior knowledge, but this De 0 3 score, and her artwork show great improvement. I am honestly very impressed with this students improvement. We was Dy 2 4 engaged during class and I knew he was learning, but on the day I administered the post assessment this student likely had a concussion. This student had a good foundation of prior knowledge and worked El 2 5 hard in class. I think his improvement shows in his work as well as in this assessment This student was focused and engaged in class and these scores Fe 3 5 reflect that focus. This student was not present for the pre assessment but I think her Ha 3 score would have been low. She was not always focused inc lass but her post assessment shows she understood those major concepts. This student was one of only a few people to answer the art history question correctly in the post assessment. This student was always Je 2 4 focused and engaged especially while i was introducing topics. He sat next to Ca and helped me translate, so i think that extra responsibility helped him grasp new concepts quickly. This student picked up new concepts quickly. She was very reserved in Jul 1 5 class, so I am glad she was able to reflect her learning here. This student was always very engaged and curios about all the new Jus 1 5 topics we covered. His improvement reflects his interest in the lessons. This person was not confident in her work, or in art in general. Although Ka 2 4 she had some struggles, I think these scores reflect some genuine improvement.

Although this student showed little prior knowledge, her work reflected a lot of interest in the lessons. Her improvement on the assessment is not very surprising This student didn't seem to take class very seriously. She understood the major topics, but I think vocabulary words and other minor topics were beneath her interest. I am very pleased to see this student improved so much. He was often distracted in class, but his prints especially showed a lot of growth I think this student learned much more in this unit than she was able to show here. I think some anxieties about being wrong got in the way of this student attempting most of the questions. This person is learning English as a second language, and although I believe she showed understating in class and in her work, it didn't come through on this assessment. I think this student was often bored in class,so I am glad to see he was able to show some learning. This student always put a lot of effort into his work so I am not surprised to see how much he improved This student wasn't present for the post assessment, but I think her score would have been greatly improved. Although this person had a tumultuous personal life, she put a lot of effort into her work when she was in class.
