ANNOTATIONS:
I noticed in their outputs that they hardly write and spell
properly. I decided to communicate with the parents or guardians and
found out that they are not motivated in their studying since they
help their parents in their jobs. The parents promise to guide and
help their children in their modules. Their progress can be seen in
their periodical grades in the English subject.

3.4- Learners’ in difficult circumstances

ANNOTATIONS:
As a teacher of printed modular mode of learning, it is difficult
for us to help the parents in teaching their children. Most of the
students are using messenger in communicating us, so I decided to
use the messenger in delivering lessons through manychat bot. They
can access the lessons and answers questions given. We also do home
visitation to monitors students’ problems and progress.

ANNOTATIONS:
In my Weekly Home Learning Plan (WHLP) I made sure to include
the pages in the activities to be answered by the learners and where to
put their answers. I also included the performance tasks to be done
by the learners which is usually in the SLM or LAS.

ANNOTATIONS:
Since most of the activities in science modules have answers in the
answers key I made sure I make summative tests and worksheets that
are aligned with the learning competencies.

ANNOTATIONS:
Our school opt to adapt the printed modality since gadgets and
internet connection are a big problem. However, I tried to integrate
ICT through manychat bot in messenger where they can access their
lessons. I also post announcements, updates and reminders through
facebook since this is the common platform we have.

ANNOTATIONS:
Distance learning is indeed new and hard for all of us. Attending
webinars and meetings were done through different platforms such
as, google meet, zoom, and teams. With these, we can still hone our
teaching skills and learn new strategies and styles that suits in this
this time. We also have our colleagues became one of our support
systems in this new normal.

ANNOTATIONS:
Living in this new normal is difficult not just for our learners
but also for us, teachers. These certificates are only few from what we
have. We need to learn new strategies/styles that can help us deliver
lessons in the most contactless way possible. And help learners
understand and learn their lessons.

REFLECTIVE SUMMARY:
“Strengthening Quality Education Amid the Covid-19
Pandemic.”

The moving up/completion and graduation theme definitely say


it all. This school year has been the most challenging for all especially
in the field of education. We have been tested, challenged, pushed to
limit. But now we realized that we have successfully pass the crisis.

This course for teachers helped me in assessing my learners and


my own need as an educator. I figured ways and strategies to further
strengthen my teaching capabilities. I was able to think ways to
develop my teaching styles, to help the parents, and most especially to
help my students in this difficult time.
