Learning Competency: Identify Aspects of Culture and Society

I. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, 80% of the learners are expected to:
A. Identify the aspects/ characteristics of culture;
B. Illustrate the aspects/ characteristics through differentiated activities.

II. Subject Matter:

Materials: Laptop, Projector, manila paper, video clip, writing materials, pictures,
bond papers

III. Procedure

A. Preliminaries

B. Review of the Previous Lesson
C. Lesson Proper

1. Motivation
The teacher will show a video clip regarding different cultures. The teacher ask
questions regarding the video presented followed by questions engaging HOTS/
Creative Thinking.

2. Presentation - The teacher presents the objectives of the lesson and the topic.

Activity

The teacher will group the students into 4. Pictures showing changes in culture is
given to each group. The group will choose a presenter and report their observation
regarding the pictures.
(Meta Card) Time Frame (3 minutes)

Analysis – The teacher will do the processing by asking questions regarding the activity
undertaken by the students.
Process Questions:
1. What did you observe in the pictures?
2. Did you notice the changes in the as depicted in the pictures?
3. How will you describe culture based on the activity?
4. What is the relevance of this activity to the aspects of culture?

Abstraction (Deepening) – the teacher will discuss through a power point presentation
the Characteristics/ Aspects of Culture.

Application

The teacher will group the students into three groups and assigned each group to
illustrate the Characteristics of Culture through differentiated activities.

Group 2 (The Dancers) - Culture is Shared
Group 3 (The Sketchers) - Culture is Dynamic and Changing

1. How did you feel about the activity?
