Annotation :

After identifying students who has difficulties in keeping up with the


rest of the group, I provide other supplementary options that may help
the student understand the lesson better. I sent video lessons I
downloaded from youtube which I checked carefully if the discussion is
simpler and easier to understand, and as well as constant follow up via
messenger.

Annotation :

I send links and videos in our group chats that could help the students
in answering the exercises or understand the lessons better. I also
monitor my student`s progress and cater their specific concerns online.
This is also the media I used when I wish to update my students or
inform them about any announcements that needs to be relayed to
them.

Annotation :

I planned my lesson considering all factors that may affect the student`s
learning, like the student`s capacity and the availability of learning
materials. These factors if overlooked, could change or hinder the entire
learning process. Associating fun activities and exercises has its good
points in lesson planning, these would help the students become proactive.

Annotation :

I made sure that the learning outcome and the competencies used are
aligned. Focusing the activities or exercises on the objectives of the lesson

Annotation :

Integrating ICT to activities is quite tricky because you have to make sure
that the students have access to the gadgets needed. Considering that most
of the students has internet access I included some activities that uses the
ICT to add more fun in their learning experiences.

Blessed and thankful to be part of the district-led THEME BASED AUTHENTIC


PERFORMANCE ASSESSENT, where I was able to share my ideas in crafting
the output for the students. And it brings me so much joy as we presented our
outputs to the critics and they gave their compliments. With teamwork and
determination our team delivered what was expected from us.

Annotation :

As a newly hired teacher in this time of pandemic, these seminars and


trainings would help me cope up with my experience gap as we indulge
ourselves in this new normal. Given the challenges that teachers face in
making sure that learning never stop, these seminars act like our support
system for us to be updated and not left behind in this ever changing learning
environment.

7.4 PROFESSIONAL REFLECTION AND LEARNING TO IMPROVE PRACTICE

This pandemic made me realize a lot of things, like time is precious,


health is priceless, keep your love ones close and money can`t buy your
life back. But how does this pandemic impact education?
Everything changed and so is the environment for learning, it is not
safe for the classical face to face classes. So, what would us teachers do
to make sure that learning never stops? As such, ever since the pandemic
started, I have been finding ways and doing my best to make sure that my
students never stops learning. Considering that not all students are
privileged enough, learning has never been this challenging. But if
change brings anything positive, it is my ability to cope up with these
challenges and bringing out my best in every situation even if it is not on
my favor. This course had helped me realized that as a teacher I have
gaps and I need to improve my efforts in achieving the desired learning
goal. We teachers should have the qualities of a rubber, we bend, we
expand but never break.
The future is uncertain, we may face far more difficult times than
what we have right now. But one thing for sure, we teachers would do
everything we can in our power to serve our main purpose as a
professional individual. And that is to help young minds learn and
prepare them for their future.

Annotation :

My reflective essay is an expression on my real-life realizations as a teacher in


this time of pandemic. The LDM course has helped a lot, I was able to
supplement my weak points as an educator to better deliver learning.

Annotation :
I conducted home visitation to those selected individuals that needs who has
difficulties understanding the lesson and answering the activities. I will
personally talk to the parent/guardian and provide them with supplementary
learning materials that could help the students cope up. I also leave notes in
their outputs/answers for them to be aware that I am checking their outputs
and they would know whether they have done good or bad in the previous
module.

Annotation :

We often do meetings and conferences if there are updates, things to be done,


or reports to be submitted. We never want anybody to be left behind so we
help each other out in a way tthat we can.

Annotation :
I always update the parents/guardians of the students about the progress or
problems of the students. I call on their attention and summon them at school
given that the safety protocols are observed. I discuss their children`s
performance in the different fields and tell them about any lacking
performance task or test that they have yet to take. If the parents failed to
show up at school, I would be the one to visit their home.
