Classifying Restaurants into 7 Categories Classifying Restaurants LESSON DURATION: 1 hr

By the end of the session the students will be able to

1. Identify 7 different Restaurant Classifications 2. Understand the meaning of Classify SUMMARY OF TASKS/ACTIONS: 1. Explain the meaning of Classify and list the 7 different Classifications 2. Using the slides explain the different styles of service, and price range for each type. 3. Activity 1. Students to work individually and answer the personal questions provided and then they are to share their answers with the class. 4. Activity 2. Match the correct restaurant classification with the descriptions provided. 5. Activity 3. Choose the correct classification for the restaurant description provided. 6. Activity 4. Ask the students to give an example of each type of restaurant near their home and or one they have been to. 7. Activity 5. Students to answer the question regarding the menu including them to identify the classification for the restaurant. MATERIALS/EQUIPMENT: Projector and Screen Whiteboard and Markers Copies of Handouts for each student ASSESSMENTS OF UNDERSTANDING: Reading- Identify the Restaurant Classification by reading the descriptions provided.
