Welcome to the World of AI !

We are an independent group of Flightsim enthusiasts and our aim is to provide the novice user as well as the experienced user with high quality AI traffic packages to enhance your virtual skies in FS 2004. With just a few clicks you will have your airports and skies filled with AI traffic from around the world be it airliners, cargo, military or general aviation traffic. To achieve this in an appropriate way World of AI has developed an own installer/uninstaller which also lists the installed World of AI packages. IMPORTANT: To use the installer you need to download and to install the Microsoft .NET framework 2.0 You can download this program here: .NET Framework 2.0 If you do not want to loose any data from your old WoA Installer setup either place the new exe in your old installer folder OR copy the woaidata file into your new installer folder !!!

World of AI Installer 2.0 (Release 14. OKT. 2006)

New in version 2.0: Multi install and multi extract of packages. Support for FSX When installing to FSX the installer makes the soundai folder and configures it.

Expert mode can list amount of flights present in a package

Installation of the installer:

Just unzip the contents of the zip file to a directory of your choice.

Working of the Installer:

Starting the World of AI Installer brings you to the welcome screen.

Welcome screen. Click "Next" to proceed.

The installer will check the fs9 registry key and when not found you have to tell the installer where your fs9.exe is located via the dialog screen. Also the installer will look if the FSX registry key can be found. If that is found then you have the opportunity to switch the target where the installer will install the packages (FS9 or FSX). It will keep the installed packages for FS9 and FSX seperated. Here you can select the WOAI package you want to install. Just click the ".."- button to easily find your downloaded package. In this version also multiple select will work. So you can select multiple WOAI packages. For the extract option/manual install see later.

In the next screen you will have to agree with the World of AI Terms before the installer will continue.

If you agreed and clicked "Next" you will get an overview of the package that will be installed. (In case of a manual installation also the output path is given.)

Also listed are the persons/groups which where willing to provide the models, textures and flightplans. The installer will also check if the package you try to install is already in the WOAI database and it will also compare the version number. It will warn you eventually and will ask you what you will do next. If you want to go on an old package will be deleted first before the new one will be installed. In multiple install mode this screen will not be shown. If an airline already installed it will be updated automaticaly. After pressing "Install" the installer will install the package. It copies the Traffic bgl file to the standard place It will look if an aircraft already exists. If not it will copy the model file, the texture files, the air file and airfraft.cfg file

If it finds one, it will only add the [fltsim] sections that are in the package file to the aircraft.cfg If every thing goes well you will see the last screen.

From here you can go also to the expert mode or click "Restart" to install another package.

Extract package or Manual Install:

If you want to do a manual install just check the check box and select the output directory. The manual installation is nothing more then an extraction of all the files to a user defined directory.

A manual install will only extract the contents of the WOAI package to the selected directory. You have to do the install in FS manually. In this mode also multi select of packages will work. Also the installer will not add this airline to the list of installed airlines and no uninstall is possible.

Expert mode:

In expert mode you will get an overview of the installed packages. It will only list the packes for the choosen taget (FS9 or FSX) You can sort them by clicking on the column headings. Clicking the Flight info check box will update the grid with the amount of flights present in each package.

Selecting an airline and clicking on the "Airport info" link will open a new screen which will show you which airports will be visited.

Clicking the "Delete airline" link will delete the airline from FS9. If it is the last airline of a specific aircraft .model than also the aircraft model will be deleted from your system. The backup link lets you make a backup of the installed WOAI packages. It will place the backup file in the directory from which you started the installer. Restoring a backup wil delete all existing packages before the backup is restored.
