Teaching reading is truly my passion. I was a kid who struggled with reading when I was younger and my teachers made it worse by making an example of what not to do. The reason I became a teacher was to help students like me who struggle and show them there are so many ways to learn to read. That even when it is hard I support and encourage them to keep working at it. It just takes practice and patience! 23. WHAT IS YOUR BEST ADVICE FOR STUDENTS? Be a kid as long as possible and dont try so hard to grow up. Go outside, enjoy the sunshine and interact with the world around you! Be the friend you would most like to have. Above all else remember that making mistakes in life is how you learn, so take a chance. If it doesnt work out the first time, just try it another way.
