    For earth leakage protection in d.c. distribution systems 25 A, sensitivity 5 or 20 mA 125 A, sensitivity 20 or 100 mA The ELM principle of operation is based on current balance monitoring of the conductors in a DC system. The monitor reacts on the residual magnetic field that is formed when an earth fault occurs, and a differential current is produced.
