PRESS RELEASE PFFB GALA FUND-RAISER ON SUNDAY APRIL 14, 2013 Intellectuals and elite, literati and glitterati

had all gathered under one roof. The atmosphere was glamorous yet sober. The venue was Marriott Hotel, Islamabad. a Gala Fund-raiser was organized by Pakistan Foundation Fighting Blindness (PFFB). To create awareness about PFFB itself, the various project being handled by it and raising funds for the Foundations ongoing welfare projects in education and IT services for the visually impaired throughout Pakistan. PFFB would like to spread its welfare services to as many visually impaired individuals as possible nationwide. Several distinguished guests from government as well as private sector were present. Banks, Oil companies and many other participated to help PFFB in raising funds for the Foundation. Mr. Qazi Azmat Isa, CEO Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund was also present at the occasion. He was pleased about the performance of PFFB I am proud that PPAF is supporting PFFB. Its audio world project is making real difference in lives of visually challenged people. PPAF will continue to strengthen this partnership in the long run in order to make disabled people a beneficial part of the society. Founder President Mr. Zaheer Khalid was also present at the Gala dinner. He is a Chartered Accountant by profession and lost his eyesight but he always share his ideas and vision with the board of PFFB. Mr. Abdullah Yusuf, Chairman PFFB expressed his gratitude for all the sponsors who had participated in the event and expressed his hope of getting constant support from these partners in order to expand this cause in the future as well. Special arrangements were made for the entertainment of the guests. Mr. Furqan Boby, who is visually challenged artist who is also a subscriber of PFFB, came from Karachi especially for the event, and demonstrated his talent in the first half of the program. Visually Impaired people of Pakistan do need our attention and care, these kinds of events where people come and show their generosity by giving their contributions, help organizations like PFFB to promote their cause, and reach out to maximum people.
