Organization has not been assisted any govt. departments either

from central / State government. Organization has been funding by

it self. Now, organization feels getting Assistance from the govt.

would help in increasing its services and can benefit larger no. of

people.

Few of the activities which Organization has been conducting have

been mentioned below, for details you can refer annual report.

Youth Entrepreneur ship development programme:

This program was conducted in village of paragon khandala. There

was a 45 participants attend the seminar of youth Entrepreneurship

any individual, to motivate for taking up and

running a gainful economic activity on his / her own

Foundation is well aware of the fact that the farmers are the

backbone of the Indian economy. From this point of view,

organization is continuously keeping its efforts to bring about

sustainable development in this field.

Organization has organized several farmers meeting in and around

Khadi Shivapur in which about 1000-2000 cultivators from the

surrounding are were present. They have been demonstrated about

the new method of drying chilly, vermin-compost techniques, new

variety of crops suitable for the area, new pesticides & insecticides

etc.

all round development of women. Organization feels economic

freedom & financial independence can only show the women the light

of liberty, hence organization is primarily concerned about the

had always been trying to sensitize the Trainees & Manufacturers of

the organization to the needs of market, & exbhitions had been one

of the best platform which suits this need, it not only satisfy the

need of selling the needs but also expresses the might strength of

women to the world. Exbhitions had been simultaneously providing an

avenue for the women around to estimate there own strength & join

hands the revolution of financial independence for women, where in

v Suggestive Materials to
be included in the
Project
a Project Goal To create an awareness among the
artisans in what best they can improve
there art, and how can they better
market there art.
Making them aware about the newer
techniques that being bursting in the
handicraft industry.
Help them know as how to establish direct
link between manufacturers/ artisans and
final consumers / customers and
eradicating the role of middlemen.

b Project Area POONA & MUMBAI

C Target Group indicating Target Group involves artisans, who have
Number of artisans & meager or no access to the markets &
No. of SHGs is expected Newer technological inputs. The artisans
to be formed are very good in manufacturing the items
but are unaware of the avenues available
for them to market there products.
These artisans are unaware of the
changing scenario of the handicrafts
industry. New technologies, newer
products, latest techniques are very far
away for these people. This symposium
would provide them a plat form for
developing them selves into a Artists
equipped with latest technologies &
techniques in handicraft industry.
We expect at least 3 to 4 SHGs would be
formed from this workshop.
d Name of the Crafts Glass Work, Bamboo Work, Mat,
Carpet,Terra cota, Embroidery, Jewellery
e Problems to be Newer technologies and techniques that
addressed are coming out in the market.
Emerging concept of Product packaging
for better marketability.
What are the tastes of the people and
what is the attitude of the people to the
handicraft items. What could be done to
better the status of the artisans.
How to make artisans to work in groups
and make them know about the benefits
of scales of economies.
f Details of any need Maharastra not only known for Bollywood ,
assessment done in the
but also has rich history of handicrafts.
area before deciding on
the project It’s Eye Catching Embroidery, Royal

Furniture Designs & many more to its list,

making a not to miss destination for the

lovers of Handicrafts. But, unfortunately

majority of the handicraft is bonded in

the chains unorganized sector, this may

be the reason, In spite of having such

huge product portfolio, the stake holders

of the business are unable to get the

reasonable returns. This symposium is

pious effort to integrate, organize, and

develop the capacity of stake holders

involved with the trade.

As an adage goes ‘what is engine to a

train, that is marketing is to a business’

the marketing engine is driven by the

pistons of ‘Packaging, Designing,

development & Value addition’ to a

product. The strategy on how you present

a product to a buyer greatly influences

the buying preferences of a client. In the

growing competitive trade products are

never sold because of only basic product

quality. To make a product saleable it has

be made ready from different dimensions.

Though there are many products in

market, why do a few excel while others

go into a dormant stage, because of

marketing strategy that a company

adopts. Why designs of automobiles are

changing every year? The answer is

simple, the preferences and attitudes of

the individual changes as the time passes;

the best product is the one which adds

new value to the product with out losing

its core values, and keeps pace with the

preferences of customer.

Packaging plays a very vital role in the

marketing of any product. How did clinic

plus shampoo become the synonym for

shampoo? Its strategy to pack in small

packs had made it no.1 brand in the

shampoo sector. Look at the packing of

‘Sandoz Tablets’ better known as calcium

tablets, it is so attractive even child

identifies with the packet. That may be

the reason for the tablet ranking no.1 in

calcium tablet segment.

But, unfortunately, these things are

totally ignored in our traditional

handicraft industry. In spite, of having

such a varied handicraft products in India

& Maharastra especially, we are not

making big in Handicraft Industry. The

reason seems to be lack of penetration of

essentials elements of marketing into the

various stake holders involved in the

business. This workshop would definitely

try to fill the gaps, and enhance the skills

of stakeholders, in mentioned subjects.

.
g Per family annual There would be at least 40% increase in

Project
a Project Goal Design development and technical up
gradation in handicrafts sector is entirely
different from that of small scale
industries. Each craft is highly
complicated involving numerous processes
and it is also very individualistic and local.
Crafts differ from region to region. They
have their traditional ways of production,
their own designs, colour, shapes and so
on. Each craft, each centre needs careful
study and understanding before new life
can be injected into it. Therefore, in the
very nature of this sector, there is need
for great sensitivity and delicate handling
and tireless service before any results can
be achieved. The gradual alienation on
handicrafts from their traditional use and
their increasing commercialization has led
to the development of new products. New
designs and styles have been evolved to
suit the tastes and preferences of the
new generation.
