(Scandibyg) Green Roof

In our construction the load are distributed from the rst oor to the main beams and then to the foundation through the columns. There are 3 columns on each row with the largest span of 17.5m which results In a beam with a thickness of 1200mm. The beams are reinforced at the base with steel going through the whole length. We decided to keep the thickness of the beam at 1200mm as we will have ventilation holes going through the beams and these are required to be less than 40% from the thickness of the total beam. Above the concrete beams we will have a 200mm hollow concrete slab On the rst oor the primary structure will be a modular steel lightweight construction made with C section beams tted with insulation in-between. The dead load travels from the roof to the modular construction to the concrete slab to the primary beam and then through the columns to the foundation.
