    PRECAUTIONS AT SITES DURING WINTER SEASON 1. People working at site shall not be allowed to use loose clothing like mufflers, lungis, dhotis, shirt outside trousers, loose coat. If required monkey caps, tight fit sweater / pull over should be used. No fire shall be lit within site premises without permission and in no case near the flammable storage or machinery. No one shall be allowed to sleep within the generator room, near any vehicle or machinery. Rest rooms shall be used for the purpose. Immersion rods used for heating water should be prohibited which is a major electrical hazard. As far as possible stay dry, as wet clothing chills the body rapidly. Heated halogen lights, machines / vehicles shall not be touched to keep the body warm or to dry clothes. Smoking shall be allowed only at designated zones. Smoking near flammable storage is strictly prohibited. Do not consume alcohol. Working under the influence of alcohol is prohibited. Instead drink hot tea or coffee. Train the workforce about cold-induced illness & injuries.

    10. Medically unfit person shall not be allowed to work. 11. Person affected by cold weather shall be given first aid in a warm room & referred to nearest hospital if necessary.
