Theory Assignment Exercise 1


You are required to prepare a written answer to each of the following questions, and submit the response to the relevant theory exercise drop-box in FLO.

1. The digital divide is a phenomenon that has been written about for many years by various authors and social commentators. Explain what the term digital divide means, and discuss whether it has any relevance to the Australian community. 2. There has been a significant amount of political discussion about the National Broadband Network (NBN) in recent times. Briefly outline the key aspects of the NBN proposals, and identify which groups of citizens will gain greatest benefits, and which groups will benefit least. 3. Select ONE of the following elements listed below, and discuss the technological changes that have occurred over the past decade, and how this has impacted on contemporary computer technology that we currently have available to us.
