What
A team of community correspondents from socially excluded groups, spread across some of the poorest districts in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh to create campaign content for advocacy on issues of exclusion and discrimination enabling community organisations and groups to engage on accountability and access to entitlements.

Why
We are not only inspired by the change that community led process and campaigns are creating on the ground, but are also convinced that a long-term change is

integrally linked with their capacity to communicate their struggles and successes with a range of

audiences.

How

The Poorest Areas Civil Society (PACS) Programme and Video Volunteers have come together to create the community correspondent network. The initiative is envisioned within the larger breaking margins and campaign platforms being forged for by Video Volunteers under India Unheard.

Event
The main event is envisioned as a creative and political expression of the community media initiative focusing on the broader debate around the lack of a critical space for alternative expression or agenda making.

Audience
The audience for the event will be drawn form the state level civil society organisations, the community correspondents, institutions and media watchers. The exhibition will draw urban middle class audience and people interested in arts and events. The online outreach will be much wider through social media, webcast and a televised discussions.

Impact
The event will also mark a highlighting the community that will produce over the 400 videos by a team of 50 public engagement towards correspondents network next six months staggering correspondents.

These videos will include impact and advocacy videos that will directly leverage issues of entitlements for the socially excluded communities.
