DAY #34 MONDAY JUNE 17 SC 61: EXT. PALACE SQUARE DUSK VFX SCENE NOTE: SOLDIER & COURT PEOPLE REPLICATION. 1. CU. Long lens. OUT OF FOCUS characters in BG. HEBE with wind in her hair looking down. She looks up to the camera with tears in her eyes. OUT OF FOCUS funeral procession crosses in front of her face. 2. COWBOY. KING and QUEEN with a wreath and IPHICLES behind them march left to right. We TRACK with them behind a row of COURT PEOPLE and SOLDIERS. KING and QUEEN stop in front of the funerary pedestal. We stop behind HEBE. IPHICLES looks at her. 3. TWOSHOT. KING and QUEEN. IPHICLES, CHIRON and the rest behind them coming from the Palace steps. PULL BACK ahead of them. They stop in front of the pedestal. Camera PULLS BACK right over the funeral pyre that is on top of the pedestal. Dont go too high. Stay right over the pedestal until the pedestal is fully on the FG. KING and QUEEN and the rest are standing in front of the pedestal facing the camera. COURT PEOPLE and SOLDIERS in straight lines on both sides of the pedestal starting from the Palace steps. 4. CU. KING. 5. CU. QUEEN. 6. CU. IPHICLES. He looks to his right. 7. WMS. HEBE. She wont look at IPHICLES but keeps looking at the pedestal. 8. CU. CHIRON. 9. MS. CROWD and SOLDIERS. TRACK from face to face. 10. LS. The Square. Similar image as in Scene 50. 11. CU. Profile. Flaming torch travels left to right. TRACK past FG. characters. 12. COWBOY. POV. Moves toward the backs of the KING and QUEEN in front of the pedestal. They take two steps back and part revealing the wreath on the pedestal. Keep pushing into CU. wreath. 13. WMS. PULL BACK with PRIEST and torch as he goes between KING and QUEEN and arrives at the wreath. 14. WMS. Long lens. KING and QUEEN frame the shot. Between them we see the PRIEST light the wreath and step away. 15. CU. QUEEN. Thru the flames. Crying. 16. CU. KING. Thru the flames. Stoic. 17. CU. IPHICLES. Thru the flames. Stoic. 18. CU. HEBE. Thru the flames. Crying. 19. WS. Long lens. From the Palace doors. Columns frame the shot on both sides. See the lines of PEOPLE on both sides of the funeral pedestal. Flames are now high on the funeral pyre. Small HEBE walks from the right side from the line of PEOPLE to the pedestal and kneels down. 20. WMS. Low angle. Long lens. HEBE drops into the shot on her knees. SLOW PUSH IN as QUEEN approaches from behind kneeling next to her, holding her. End in HEBE CU. 21. TWOSHOT. From behind HEBE and QUEEN but still showing the sides of their faces. 22. MS. IPHICLES. PUSH INTO CU. 23. FS. High angle. Looking straight down at the funeral pyre and HEBE and QUEEN kneeling in front of it. 24. MS. The pedestal with the huge funeral pyre on top of it. PUSH INTO the flames.

SC 50: EXT. PALACE SQUARE MORNING VFX SCENE NOTE: TROOP & HORSE REPLICATION. 1. LS. Above CG buildings looking at the Palace Square. 79 Horses in perfect formation facing the Palace. Around the Palace are other buildings, but no Amphitheater. A distant valley and mountains in the BG. Camera is not looking straight down, but maybe 20 meters off the ground looking at the square over the rooftops. There are 8 horses next to each other and ten horses behind each other. In the middle there is a 3 meter wide alley. On the left of it 40 horses. On the right of it 40 horses. SOTIRIS on his horse is facing the MEN in front of him. VFX: DMP, CG BUILDINGS. 2. COWBOY. Camera PULLS BACK ahead of HERCULES horse as he rides between the TWO GROUPS down the alley to the front. This shot is perfectly symmetrical. There are TWO GUARDS following HERCULES on either side. 3. MS. Profile. LATERAL TRACK with HERCULES. SOLDIERS on the FG. 4. WS. Camera between the TWO GROUPS of HORSEMEN. PUSH DOWN the alley between them towards SOTIRIS. End up in WMS. SOTIRIS. 5. WS. Camera at the Palace doors. Two columns frame the shot on the left and right. At the bottom of the Palace steps, SOTIRIS on his horse. HERCULES directly in front of him. 80 HORSEMEN behind HERCULES split by the alley 40 and 40. Camera is not too high, but just high enough to see over SOTIRIS to HERCULES. 6. COWBOY. Profile. HERCULES and SOTIRIS facing each other. 7. MS. HERCULES symmetrically in the center of the frame. TROOPS behind him looking straight at the camera. 8. MS. SOTIRIS symmetrically in the center of the frame. The Palace doors behind him. 9. CU. HERCULES symmetrically in the center of the frame. TROOPS behind him looking straight at the camera. 10. CU. SOTIRIS symmetrically in the center of the frame. The Palace doors behind him. SC 83: EXT. PALACE SQUARE DAY 1. WS. LATERAL TRACK. Pass FG. columns. SOLDIERS posted on the FG. Square bustling with activity. SOLDIERS posted in the BG. CHIRON crosses the square towards camera.

SC 86: EXT. ALLEY MOMENTS LATER 1. COWBOY. Camera at the top of the Palace stairs in a side view with columns on the left. Palace wall on the right. CHIRON walks toward us and is grabbed from behind and pulled behind a column. 2. MS. The same. 3. WMS. Camera on the Palace steps looking sideways. Columns on the right. Palace wall on the left. CHIRON walks away from the camera and is grabbed from behind and pulled behind a column. 4. CU. Over CHIRON to SOTIRIS. Against a column. See SOLDIERS and part of square in the BG. 5. CU. Over SOTIRIS to CHIRON. Against a column. Palace wall in the BG.
