There are two ways for shadowrun characters to be returned to life after being killed.

The first way is by cloning technology. Characters store tissue samples at a major hospital or medical research lab and have an experiential analysis recording made. The tissue sample will be used to grow a new body when the time comes. The experiential analysis recording is used to imprint all the characters mental attributes and skills into the new brain, a head I/O port is required for both recording and imprinting. The disadvantages for this method is the incredible cost, both for the body and the recordings when each is made. Also when the clone body is first revived all it's physical attributes are the racial minimum and must be raised with karma. The second way is with magic called the resurection spell. Some part of the body of whoever has died is required. The spell requires 3 days divided be excess successes to restore the character. The target number is the same for all healing spells. Each time a character is raised with this spell one point of essence is lost permanently incurring all normal penalties, if for any reason a characters essence falls below 0 he will die in a number of hours equal to his body. The new body will have the physical attributes possessed at the time the sample was taken, the mental attributes and skills will be what they were when the character died. Only Tir Tarngire knows the rescurection spell at this time and they will only use it if they see some profit or usefulness in doing so. Cloning costs: Clone body Recording 400,000y 250y*(Karma cost for all mental attributes and skills)
