OVERVIEW
Thank you for choosing the MOTU MicroBook. This document provides late-breaking information about the MicroBook not included in the MicroBook User Guide.

TIPS FOR CONNECTING EXTERNAL DEVICES

Follow these simple guidelines to minimize noise that may be produced by external devices connected to the MicroBook:
Use balanced TRS quarter-inch cables whenever possible. Balanced connections greatly reduce noise resulting from electrical interference. Use the MicroBooks balanced quarter-inch connectors instead of the eighth-inch stereo mini connectors whenever possible. Dont make unbalanced audio connections between the MicroBook and a FireWire or USB device while the other device is connected to any computer, as this could signicantly reduce the audio quality performance of the MicroBook.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
Mac PowerPC G4 CPU 1 GHz or faster (including PowerPC G5 CPUs and all Intel processor Macs)

512 MB of RAM; 1 GB or more is recommended Mac OS X version 10.5 or 10.6; v10.5.6 or later is required. A large hard drive, preferably at least 100 GB

Windows Pentium 4 CPU (or equivalent) 1 GHz or faster

512 MB of RAM; 1 GB or more is recommended Windows 7, Vista, or XP, 32- or 64-bit A large hard drive, preferably at least 100 GB
