In culture 1 environment, everyone has same opportunity as anyone else, regardless of your ethnicity or physical characteristics. The environment is very competitive and fast moving. You are very task focus culture and only talk to people who speak your language. The aim is to collect 4 similar lot of coupon to be bank in to the banker. Then you will receive another 4 coupons from the sorter. When you want to exchange your coupon with other, you have to make eye contact and wink your eyes few times. You may make a deal of the person you have approaches nod and show silence agreement to continue. You can only exchange coupon if both of you have the coupon desired by both parties or there will be no deal between both of you. You can only exchange 1 coupon to each other in a deal, each time. To ask the person you approached for you desired coupon, you have to make the following sound: Candle: moo~ Lotus : bek~ bek~ House: kok kok kok Donut: Kuek kuek To say yes, you touch your nose. To say no, clap your hand.

Whoever want to join your culture, will need to learn by themselves. If they dont speak your language, you will dismiss them.

Culture 2 You live in a loving culture where everyone love and enjoy each others company.

In culture 2, there is no rush in anything. Everyone should take their own time to do any task. It is not a competitive environment at all. When two people bump to each other, you will always greet each other and talk about things that both love to hear and listen to. Everyone smile to each other in culture 2. Culture 2 people love to exchange buttons when they have a chance to sit together. NO one really care the importance of having more buttons or exchanging buttons, it is just a tradition that has been in the culture since their ancestors time. When two people exchange buttons, they will sit on the ground and spread the button in front both of them. However whoever is taller will be in control to decide the division of the buttons. Apart from exchanging button, culture 2 people also love to talk about the weather.

You welcome anyone who wants to join your culture. New-comers will always be approach by anyone existing in the culture 2 member to start a conversation.

How to play 1) The group is divided into two different cultures. They will be located in separate places not visible to one another 2) Each group will be briefed about their culture. 10 minutes is allocated for them to practice their culture among themselves. 3) After 10 minutes, 4-5 people (depends on group size) from each culture are chosen for a visit to the other culture. When the visitors come to their culture, everyone else in the group will treat the guests as if they are part of the culture. 5-10 minutes is allocated for this session. 4) The visitors return to their original group and share their experiences with the rest (suggested time 3-4 minutes). Repeat step 3 with different people. 5) Depend on the total number of people per group, step 3 may be repeated for the second time. 6) Both cultures are gathered, each group will give opinions on what they think the other culture is all about. We will see how culture background shapes our perception on others culture and how hard the adaptation process can be. ** The cultures set up may be altered according to your preferences as long as the two cultures are vastly different.
