Keep in Mind

Suggested Time Allotment: 5 minutes

Community is a place where we live. The people in the community are the ones who help us. They
help us do our tasks easier. They make the community a better place to live in.
Each one in the community plays different roles and each role played is important. Some people in
the community make goods or things we can buy. Carpenters build houses, bakers make bread, farmers
plant rice. Some give their services. Teachers teach, drivers bring us to places and barbers groom our hair.
In cases of emergencies, there are also community helpers whom we can ask for help. We have the police,
firefighters, doctors, nurses, and midwives who take care of our health and safety.
Let us then respect the people in the community. When you meet them, be polite and be courteous
to them. Greet, listen, and obey them.
