RESOLUTION: No. 001 005 Date: July 13, 2013 SUBJECT: STRICT ABIDANCE TO THE FORMAT PRESECRIBED BY SACDEV ON LIQUIDATION REPORTS AND OTHER RELATED REPORTS WHEREAS, Section 4.1.8 (4) of Article IX of the Constitution vests on the Commission on Audit the authority to promulgate its own rules and regulations, create its own techniques or methods for a transparent accounting and auditing process and must at all times adopt the Generally Accepted Accounting principles (GAAP); WHEREAS, SACDEV has prepared and prescribed specific templates on the form of liquidation reports and other related reports; WHEREAS, it is an apparent fact that many departments/councils/student organizations have been taking for granted the proper format on the liquidation report and other related report; WHEREAS, checking of the liquidation reports and other related reports as to its proper format is one of the protocols an auditor needs to examine. WHEREAS, strict compliance would also foster uniformity and would easily help the auditors in conducting their audit. NOW WHEREFORE, premises considered, the Commission has RESOLVED, as it does hereby resolve to necessitate among the people at stake within the limits of the appropriations, the strict abidance to the format prescribed by SACDEV in terms of liquidation reports and other related reports. Reports which are not in accordance to the format shall not be audited and shall be immediately returned to the person in charge. This Resolution shall take effect immediately.
