Paraphrasing - 3X5 = 15 m 1.

Stretch a spring by pulling with your hand and the spring pulls back with a force of equal magnitude and opposite direction. The force you apply and the spring force constitute a Newtons third law pair. If the applied force is, Fapplied,x = kx , then the spring force is Fapplied,x = kx . The spring force is a restoring force, so called because it tends to restore the spring to equilibrium. The restoring force works equally well whether the spring is stretched or compressed. If you compress a spring by pushing to the left, the restoring force kx pushes back to the right. If the spring is stretched or compressed then the restoring force is developed in the spring. This restoring force always opposes the change in the spring, so it has equal magnitude but opposite in direction to the applied force. These two forces are action reaction pair. According to Newtons third law Fapplied,x = kx 2. An air conditioner is similar to a refrigerator; because it removes heat from a buildings interior and dumps it to higher temperature environment outside. As for a refrigerator, this requires work W. In effect, the cold reservoir is the space being cooled, and the hot reservoir is the outdoors. Like the refrigerator, an air conditioner has to work harder to maintain a larger temperature difference, so it consumes the most energy on hot days. The working principle of air conditioner and refrigerator is same. It removes the heat from interior of the building and dumps outside. In this case, hot reservoir is outside and cold reservoir is interior of the building. This transfer of heat from cold reservoir to hot reservoir requires work (W) which depends on the temperature difference. Due to large temperature difference on hot days, more work is needed. Hence, energy consumption is more on hot day. 3. By radioactive decay, we mean the spontaneous change of a nucleus into a different nucleus, accompanied by the release of other particles and energy. There are three common ways for nuclei to decay, called, respectively, alpha-emission, betaemission, and gamma-emission. Free neutron decay is an example of beta decay. The spontaneous decay of the nucleus is called radioactivity. The nucleus changes into another nucleus by emitting particles and energy. This spontaneous decay occurs in three manners. These are called alpha-emission, beta-emission, and gamma-emission. In freeneutron decay beta-emission takes place.
