2. This assessment tests the students knowledge of vocabulary that is specific to their grade level, reading rate that also takes into account accuracy, word recognition and decoding. 3. The website Questarai.com states that only appropriate designated school personnel can administer the test (2012). 4. Grades 3-8 can take this test, but is especially designed to assess the struggling readers within these grades. 5. This test can be appropriately administered to an individual or a small group. 6. I really could not find a lot of information about the time needed to administer this test, but it did say that the students often move through the passage quickly and that it is easy to administer, so I am assuming it is a pretty quick little assessment. 7. This assessment can be given offline or online, so it is very handy for the different learning types! Therefore, you can have a test record/score form or a student answer form. 9. No one other than the authorized school personnel can see the results of this assessment or administer this test. 10. The purpose of this test stated by the website is to isolate specific areas where students are the weakest. You can test the struggling students knowledge on gradelevel vocabulary and reading fluency which is very helpful because you can find a good starting place for intervention! This test is also said to be very usable for ELL students, which again I think it could be used to assess where they are in the grade level reading curriculum and general vocabulary. I also found another website that states that these assessment tools contained in RPE was created specifically to ensure that NCLB standards are being met.
