 IMPROVEMENTS ON GENERATOR REWINDS

• Using compressed mica at a high density improves heat dissipation

of the unit and allows additional space that might be used to
increase the amount of copper in the bar.
• Semiconductive tape avoids partial discharges and corona effect
• Modern packing system using materials that maintain the presure of
the bar in the slot, these materials are not affected by thermal
variations or age of the insulation.
• Semiconductive paint in the slot improves the contact of the
semiconductive tape with the core of the unit.
• Redesign blocking system in order to avoid future vibration on the
endwindings
