WEEK3\INTENTION&OUTCOME DREWCOPPINS

Making strategies are a way to produce work, how you go about producing that final outcome. Some of the ways I will be employing these strtegies are in the direct re-creation of exsisiting designs, produced by other designers, some famous, some not. This is to see if have the ability to re-create something great, I usually pull experience and skills from doing so but not content. To me, the most important part of a successful design is the underlying conceptual model. This is the hard part of design: formulating an appropriate conceptual model and then assuring that everything else be consistent with it. My working process will go through several stages, some obvious and others not so much, I research, I repeat found work to gain new skills in the programs I use to produce my work, but sometimes also in hand. I then develop, contrast and produce the final outcome after critiquing at every stage. Contrasting my work I feel gives it a very global presense, contrasting my project to similar projects and gauging feedback on this process. A large change in my process has to be the critiquing side, I moved my work so much further forward by using this simple and effective technique. The most important part of this process is to learn to tke it ont the chin, even if you are madly in love with your own work, which you shouldnt be at a conceptual level anyway. Critiquing has to be the easiest, and hardest part of design at the same time.
