edu Project Title: Proper Setup of Student Data Notebook/Folder Sponsoring Organization: Renaissance Elementary School a Fulton County public school located in Fairburn, GA. Problem Identification: The use of an organized Student Data Notebook is the first step in ensuring that teachers are engaging students in the learning process. Data notebooks (or folders) support students in becoming co-producers of their learning. They help students organize processes for learning. The notebook generally contains a students mission, goals and action plans to support classroom and personal learning. Aim: Promote student achievement through the use of improved student data notebooks. Target Audience: Renaissance Elementary School 3rd 5th grade team which is composed of 15 female teachers with an average of 15 years elementary teaching experience. 10 of the teachers have earned Masters Degrees in Education, 4 have earned Specialist Degrees in Education and 1 teacher has earned a Doctorate Degree in Education. Currently, 5 out of the 15 teachers implemented the use of Student Data Notebooks (or folders) this school year. All 15 teachers have used some version of a Student Data Notebook (or folder) in the past. Delivery Options: Training will be face to face and interactive, in that teachers will leave the session with one completed Student Data Notebook. Training Powerpoint: ppt data notebooks.pdf
