10 April 2012 PRESS RELEASE Prof.

Prithvi Singh Kandhal, Associate Director Emeritus, National Center for Asphalt Technology, Auburn University, Alabama was made honorary member of the Association of Asphalt Paving Technologists (AAPT) during the Associations Annual Meeting Banquet held in Austin, Texas, USA on 3 April 2012. AAPT is the most prestigious international association with members from all continents of the world. Its honorary membership is considered to be equivalent to Lifetime Achievement Award in asphalt road technology. Prof. Kandhal was honoured for his eminence and outstanding contributions to asphalt road technology over the last 40 years. His innovations in the field of asphalt road construction are being used throughout the world. He co-authored the first ever textbook on asphalt road technology used in many universities.
