Former Resident Passes Suddenly In Vinton Home. Mrs.

Milo shadle, 43, recent resident of Sac City, passed away at her home in Vi nton, Iowa, Dec. 31, 1941. The cause of death was an acute heart attack while sl eeping. Funeral services were held Jan. 3, 1942, at the Fry-Holland Funeral Home in Vint on. The Rev. C. Breidenthal of the Church of Christ officiated. William E. Holla nd sang "In the Garden." Pall bearers were nephews. Burial was made in the Everg reen cemetery at Vinton. Harriet Nellie Olmstead was born June 25, 1898, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin S. Olmstead, near Monona, Iowa. She lived in or around there all during her gir lhood. On Dec. 24, 1920, she was married to Milo Shadle at Garrison, Iowa. they moved to Sac City in 1930 and lived here until April 1941. She became a member o f the Christian Church in 1934 and was active in its work. Two children were bor n to them, Marjorie Peters of Sac City and Milo E. Shadle, Jr. of the U. S. Navy . Those who survive are her husband, both children, her mother, Mrs. John Riddloug h, two sisters, Mrs. Mary Rinker and Mrs. Clarence Ingels, all of Vinton, and on e brother, Alvin S. Olmstead of Royal Oak, Mich. Also serveral nieces and nephew s. Milo Jr. was not able to come home for the funeral due to the movements of his s hip, the Navy Department informed them.
