At time of writing the Dec '13 EUA Contract was at 4.49. Last week, EUA's posted a fourth consecutive weak of gains. The price gained 1 % over the week at the end of Friday's session. Over the last month, a similar gain was witnessed. The European Commission has given contract notice and relevant documents relating to the procurement of an auction monitor. The above mentioned were published on the website of the European Union last Thursday. The closing date for tenders is on September 18th. The auction monitor will play an integral role in the joint oversight of the established auction platforms. Its tasks comprise the monitoring of the functioning of all platforms and the reporting to Member States and Commission as set out in Article 25 of the Auctioning Regulation. The German Emission Authority have published Auction results for the second quarter of 2013. These figures refer to German auctions only. Between April and June 52,260,000 emission allowances of the third trading period with a total value of 200,758,800 were auctioned for Germany at the EEX. This results in a volume-weighted average price per allowance of 3.84. The average cover ratio in the reporting period was 2.49.
