Radcliffe 6th Grade Language Arts


1. Use the If Youre Not From poem template to create your own unique poem about your favorite place, a place you grew up, or a place you know very well. 2. Buddy Edit- We will buddy edit our poems in class 3. Publish- We will then publish our poems by choosing one of the following: A) typing your poem into Google Docs or Word and then gluing it to a larger piece of paper to decorate. B) creating a StoryBird digital book to enhance your poem C) creating a Prezi presentation to enhance your poem D) creating a digital book by using the iPhone/iPad/iPod app called StoryKit Ideas 5 Focused, clear, specific. It keeps the readers attention. a) I know a lot about this topic and added interesting tidbits. b) I showed what was happening instead of telling. c) My topic was small enough to handle. d) I can easily answer the question, What is the point of this paper/story? 3 Some really good parts, some not there yet! a) Some things are new, other things everyone else already knows. b) Details are general (nice, fun, some, good.) c) Im still thinking aloud on paper. Im looking for a good idea. d) Maybe Ill write 1 Just beginning to figure out what I want to say. a) I havent shared much information.
