Radford City Schools Safety and Security Activities on Street and Roads

For safety and security reasons such as the increased number of distracted driving accidents involving texting and talking on cell phones while driving, the Coaches and Teachers employed by Radford City Schools are not authorized to hold training, practices or any type of group activities on any streets or roads without permission from the Athletics-Activities Director, the 'supervising Principal or Principal's Designee. Activities such as organized group 5K runs for approved non-profit organization fund-raisers, organized and closely supervised group field trip walks and organized, supervised groups of students participating in parades are supervised activities that will be approved.
Parents who choose to allow their own children to participate in on-road running or training activities that are not sponsored by the school division do so as individuals and release the Radford City Schools of any and all liability.
