Servicing and cleaning

The surfaces marked red below should be cleaned with the supplied brushes.

Caution! Only special Hilti safety cartridges bearing the imprint DX450 / DX350 may be used for safety reasons.

A tool with heavy carbon

deposits could jam. The resulting malfunctioning could lead to accidents.

Only a clean tool is in good working order. The pads shown below should thus be cleaned each day, the housing each week.

The same applies after a large number of fasteners have been driven (approx.
2,s00).

Power regulation
The driving power is adjusted by means of a knurled wheel on the side of the tool. When the indicator is in the rearmost position the greatest driving power is obtained from a cartridge, in the foremost position the lowest driving power is obtained. Thanks to this means of power regulation only two cartridge power levels are required.

Note: The red cartridge covers 90 "/" ol all applications. The black cartridge is needed for the special fastening of steel to steel.

Warranty
Hilti DX Tools Hilti Fasteners Hilti Cartridges
are integral parts of a technical system. Their combined functions make for optimum safety and quality. Hilti powderactuated tools are covered by a S-year warranty from the date of invoice for deficiencies in material or manufacture which cause premature wear or breakdown of the tool. This warranty coverage will be upheld if the tool is operated

correctly in accordance with the operating instructions, if the tool is cleaned and serviced properly and the technical system is maintained. This means that only Hilti fasteners, Hilti power loads and Hilti spare parts or other products of equivalent quality may be used in the tool. Under the terms of this warranty, excluding any other further claims, defective parts, which must be submitted to the Hilti marketing organization in question, will be replaced free of charge. Parts subject to normal wear and tear are not included in this warranty.
