The thesis was carried out by Ms Eva Bernat provide people with not only basic information about

different beliefs about language learning but also valuable insights. It also pointed out that we have a little knowledge abot creating, shaping,a nd guilding these beliefs (Eva Bernat, 2005). First of all, the nature and origin of beliefs about language learning has been discussed. In the process of understanding the individuals learning performance, the belief about learners capacity and the personal models of their own processes are more valuable than universally accepted theories. The individual defferences in learning includes personal beliefs, myths, understanding, and supperstitions which are shown clearly through learners thoughts and feelings about their learning. A belief about language learning as a component of metacognative knowledge. It included all individual understanding about themselves as learner and thinker as well as specific knowledge about how the person knowledge apply in their experience (Flavell,1987). Person knowledge means knowledge learners have acquired about how cognitive and afective factors such as learners attitude, personality, and motivation can have impact on the learners. Wender (2001) provided further function of metacognitive knowledge in learning. She pointed out that the foundation for the development of learners autonomy is planning, monitoring, and evaluating. As well, the selfconcepts and identity, self- efficacy, personality, and other individual differences have relation with learners beliefs (Epstein,1990). Recently, (Breen 2001) asserted that learners worked selectively within their learning environment, and upon the linguistic and communicative data made available to them in that environment which is believed to facilitate and hinder their learning and conceptualization of the language learning process. Secondly, the reseacher discussed about language learning research. Wenden (2001) argued that learners brought to the classroom with a variety attitudes, experiences, and expectations, beliefs and learning stratergies. As weel, Bacelos (2002,2003) distinguished language learnings beliefs into three approches. They are nominative, metacognitive, and contextual approach.
