Kindly recollect the discussion we already had with you on the subject. BSNL has already issued notification on 21.12.2009, to hold the JTO LICE. According to this notification the vacancies upto 31.03.2009 are to be considered for the examination. Our Union has already demanded that the latest vacancies should also be counted for the exam, since there will be a very big gap between the date of issue of the notification and the date of holding the examination. According to us there is no legal or any other bar in accepting our demand. I can quote a precedence in support of our demand. In connection with the LICE of Rajbhasha Adhikari, BSNL CO issued letter no.60-1/2010-DE dated 5th February, 2010. BSNL has already notified the LICE to be held on 23.05.2010. However, in the afore mentioned letter it is stated that vacancies available as on 31.03.2010 should be considered for the LICE. In this case, the vacancies that had arisen after the issue of notification of the LICE are also considered for holding the exam. I request that the same yardstick may be applied for the JTO LICE also. Even though the JTO Lice is already notified on 21.12.2009, the JTO vacancies up to 31.03.2012 may also kindly be considered for the LICE. I request you to kindly consider this, since it will benefit a large number of candidates who are intending to appear the JTO LICE.
