This course will: Offer a wide range of inspiring teaching strategies to motivate and accelerate the learning of your students Demonstrate learning that students will remember for life Offer ways to make literature accessible to all learners, even the least able Present grammar teaching through the medium of literature Actively engage teachers in ways to make literature accessible to beginners Motivate students to opt for GCSE and A level languages Provide teachers with a pack of ready-to-use resources in German and French Use teaching methodologies transferable to all languages Seminar Leader: Jane Breen (Advanced Skills Teacher, Specialist Leader of Education, Director of Leading Edge)
Jane teaches at King Edward VI Grammar School and delivers CPD locally, regionally and nationally, specialising in Zest for Learning, curriculum development, assessment and teacher research. Jane has won several awards including a European Language Award for a mini-book project in Essex, a LinkedUp award for a science/MFL project in Essex and UK German Teacher of the Year 2007.
