AutoCAD Electrical 2007 Network Installation Guide Addendum AutoCAD Electrical 2007 Network Deployment

The network deployment for AutoCAD Electrical 2007 and AutoCAD 2007 is the same, except for the sharing of symbol libraries, catalog database, and support files. To start network deployment, link to the Network Deployment page in the AutoCAD Electrical installation program. Install the Network Deployment Wizard (NDW) and then run it from the start menu. From the NDW you can create an image for client installations. Symbol Libraries, Catalog Database and Support Files AutoCAD Electrical 2007 installs comprehensive and intelligent symbols libraries in different industry standards. Part number catalog database and support files are listed in the adjacent table These files are found in the AEDATA folder and can be shared across a network. The Symbols Libraries, Catalog Database, and Support Files dialog in the adjoining figure is displayed in the NDW after the dialog box where you determine where to write a log file of the deployment process. Use this dialog to specify whether or not to share symbol libraries, and/or catalog database and support files. There is also an option to install the files to a shared network location so that multiple users can work from a common standard symbol library and parts database.
