Motion Tweening 1. Draw a symbol on the stage. 2. Right click on frame 1, select Create Classic Tween. 3.

Right click on the would be end frame, select Insert Keyframe. 4. Move the symbol to a another location. 5. To run the animation, press Enter or ctrl-enter. Motion Guide 1. Draw a symbol on the stage. 2. Right click on frame 1, select Create Classic Tween. 3. Right click on the would be end frame, select Insert Keyframe. 4. Right click on Layer 1, select Add Classic Motion Guide. 5. Using the Pencil tool, draw the line that will serve as the guide. 6. Move the symbol to the end of the line guide. Shape Tweening 1. Draw a symbol on the stage. 2. Right click on frame 1, select Create Shape Tween. 3. Right click on the would be end frame, select Insert Keyframe. 4. Delete the symbol. Draw a new symbol 5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the last desired symbol. 6. If text is to be used, press Modify menu > Break Apart or ctrl-B twice. Masking A mask is simply to hide or reveal certain parts of a layer, for example: 1. Click File > Import to Stage to open the My Pictures folder. Select any picture to open. Insert keyframe. Lock the picture on Layer 1. 2. Create new layer (layer 2) . Draw a circle on the stage. Select Create motion tween and Insert keyframe. 3. Right click on layer 2, select Mask. 4. Draw a smiley that animates. You can do that by following the given procedures below. Procedures: 1. Draw an object (that is, an eye and an eyeball). 2. Select the objects and press F8 (to convert the object into a symbol). Name the converted symbol eye. 3. Double-click the object to go to movie clip. 4. Go to the frames and Insert a key frame. 5. Make your animation. You may use the subselection tool to drag and change the direction of the object. 6. Insert a frame to pause. 7. Go to scene1 by clicking scene1 or clicking the arrow after the timeline. 8. Draw the face. 9. Drag the eyeballs to the face. 10. Draw another object for lips. Follow steps 2 7) 11. Click Ctrl + Enter to play the movie. NOTE: Insert keyframe 1st before animation.
